COVID-19 Rates Soar Across The Midwest

The COVID-19 rates in the Dakotas are the worst in the world according to USA Today.
After declining to cancel their state fair and bringing hundreds of thousands of visitors to a motorsports rally this summer, South Dakota’s hospitals are filling up and the COVID-19 death rate is one of the highest in the world.
Now North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has changed his mind on whether or not a statewide mask mandate is a good idea.
“Our situation has changed, and we must change with it,” Burgum said in a video message posted at 10 p.m. Friday. Doctors and nurses “need our help, and they need it now,” he said.
