COVID-19 Infection Tied To Spencerport Church
Written by Site Hub on September 5, 2020
Health officials in Monroe County are seeing connections with a recent spread of COVID-19 and a church service that took place in Spencerport.
Authorities are encouraging anyone who attended services at the Slavic Pentecostal Church on West Ridge Road, at any time since August 23, to contact the department of health by calling (585) 753-5555 or emailing COVID19@monroecounty.gov.
It is believed that about 20 individuals from different households that attended a service on the 23rd may testpositive for coronavirus and 5 cases have been confirmed from the event.
These individuals will need to self-quarantine for a period of 14 days from their last visit to the church, or as directed by the Department of Public Health. These individuals should also get tested for COVID-19.
