COVID-19 Hits “Atlanta” Pushing FX TV Show Back to 2021

“Atlanta” creator and star Donald Glover, and the other series’ writers have completed the scripts for Seasons 3 and 4, with plans to tape them back to back. The pandemic-delayed production in the first half of 2021, according to FX Networks Chairman John Landgraf.

But COVID-19 safety concerns and the intricate task of coordinating a lengthy shoot hindered production, said Landgraf. One season is to be shot primarily in Europe and the other in Atlanta.
