Costco looks to come to Penfield

A new Costco may soon be established in Penfield, NY, as part of a proposed mixed-use development along Route 250 at “Sweet Corners.” The town of Penfield has confirmed that the developer submitted a sketch plan review application for the 51-acre project, which would feature Costco as the anchor tenant.
A preliminary public hearing is set for August 8, with additional details to be available on the town’s website starting July 24. This would be the second Costco in the Greater Rochester area, with the first located in the CityGate development, where it also serves as the anchor tenant.
Additionally, Topgolf is planning to build on an adjoining parcel to CityGate, with an expected opening in 2025.
