Written by on January 6, 2020

As of January 1st the new bail reform law took affect in New York State.

Now people who are arrested for nonviolent crimes will be released without bail until their trial.
Now peoples major concerns are about a people with a violent history and had been convicted of a violent crime.
That’s the conversation that’s being had about  Tyquan Rivera who was arrested when he was 14 years for shooting a RPD officer.
He was just arrested again back in December for selling fentanyl to a undercover police officer and had to be released because of the new bail reform.
What’s your thoughts should a person with a violent past and convicted of a violent crime Be released back into the community after being arrested again for a lesser charge?
