Consultant selected; public input sought on High Falls State Park design

Written by on October 10, 2024

A design firm has been selected to develop plans for the new High Falls State Park in downtown Rochester. The contract has been awarded to OLIN, a landscape architecture and urban design firm, which will collaborate with several local firms, including Highland Planning, LiRo Engineers, TY Lin, Trophy Point, and Flaum Management. While some remediation work has already begun, construction on the park is expected to start between 2026 and 2027. Public input is being sought on the park’s design, and an open house will be held on November 13 from 4-7 p.m. at Monroe Community College’s downtown campus. This project is part of the larger Roc the Riverway initiative.
