City of Rochester R-Center’s Spring Recess Hours And Programs

The City of Rochester R-Center’s has shifted their their operating hours to offer innovative programs for this week during Spring Recess.
Depending on where you live in the City of Rochester and what R-Center is closest there are a plethora of programs and activities to do to keep young people busy.
City R-Centers, which are typically open during afterschool and evening hours, will be open from 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday, April 3–Thursday, April 6 and will offer a wide variety of additional programming, including free lunches. Adams Street R-Center will not be open due to construction.
Some of the City’s year-round programming for youth, which will also be active during Spring Break, includes:
Youth Voice One Vision is a leadership program for high school students in the City of Rochester. Visit cityofrochester.gov/YVOV/ for more information.
The Sexuality Outreach Advocacy Resources (SOAR) programs helps youth develop skills team building and leadership, event planning and advocacy for youth rights. Visit cityofrochester.gov/RISE/.
The popular Biz Kid$ business education camp will take place all week long. The camp teaches kids how to launch a business. Participants can earn money and win prizes while learning about the various aspects of entrepreneurship. Biz Kid$ runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and includes breakfast, lunch and business supplies. For more information or to apply, call 428-7098.
