City of Rochester Offers Program To Support Child & Family With Social & Emotional Needs

The City of Rochester launched a new program at R-Centers to address the social, and emotional needs of young people and their families. Child and family therapists along with social learning specialists have been added to the staff at some R-Centers. They will be able to intervene with children who are having issues and try offering solutions. The therapists and social learning specialists are free resources to anyone registered with an R-Center. Several informational sessions are planned for families who would like to learn more:
- 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, Thomas P. Ryan R-Center, 350 Webster Ave.
- 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9, The Honorable Willie Walker Lightfoot R-Center for Equity and Justice, 271 Flint St.
- 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 23, David F. Gantt R-Center, 700 North St.
