City of Rochester launches community-wide opioid epidemic survey

The City of Rochester has launched a community-wide survey aimed at understanding the effects of the opioid epidemic on residents throughout the city. It is anonymous and will be available until February 2025. The survey is being administered by the RIT Center for Public Safety Initiatives.

The survey focuses on:
Quality of life
Barriers to care
Overdose prevention
Family impact

Community Input Sessions:
The City’s Neighborhood Ambassador Program is also holding public input sessions in various parts of the city to gather feedback directly from residents. The insights collected from both the survey and the input sessions will help shape the city’s strategies for addressing the opioid epidemic. Specifically, they will guide the allocation of $3.8 million in state opioid funds.
