CDC’s New Mask Mandate For Those Vaccinated

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has made an announcement that may implement changes to come. Those who are fully vaccinated, meaning you’ve gotten all your shots and waited two weeks post second shot, will no longer be required to wear a mask anywhere (indoor or outdoor.) The CDC said; “Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”
This change had come as a bit of a surprise to some as only a little bit over 30% of the population is fully vaccinated, but the CDC has ensured that this is safe. In NY, Governor Andrew Cuomo has yet to comment on this update, but until then masks are still mandatory.
