Brandy Norwood’s 17-year-old daughter, Sy’rai, is an up-and-coming entrepreneur. She is not only the founder of Privileged Apparel, a new apparel company, but also one of the models for the company’s fashions.
Sy’rai has designed her clothing line to serve women of all shapes and sizes, noting that she’s “bigger than most kids” – she doesn’t have “the skinniest” body. But she encourages women that “being who you are should be more important than worrying about what you look like on the outside.”
Sy’ria made her debut into the world with much more notoriety than most people, when her mother (Brandy Norwood) and her father (music producer Robert Smith) appeared in a four-part MTV series “Brandy: A Special Delivery.” The series chronicled the last few months of Brandy’s pregnancy and the birth of Sy’rai. Now that she’s all grown up, Sy’rai’s mom remains her strongest supporter, frequently praising her daughter on Instagram.
Brandy fans will remember that she played Moesha, the title character of the same-named TV show. But newer fans may not know that back in the day, Kobe Bryant and Brandy were actually prom dates, when both were only 17 years old.
Although Sy’ria’s Privileged Apparel clothing brand has not yet made its official debut, fans eagerly await a glimpse of the fashion line.
