Brandy Comments On Her First Album Release Since 2012

Brandy has announced that she will be releasing her first new album in 8 years called B7. The album will contain the songs “Freedom Rings” and “Baby Mama,” which features Chance the Rapper. It will also include “Love Again,” which she wrote with Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Caeser.
When asked about the timing of the release during the coronavirus pandemic, Norwood said:
“Well, I felt like I’m in a great place in my music. I feel very strong about my music, confident about where I am with it. I believe in it, and I just felt like this was the time … I wanted to approach this project like if this was my last chance, if this was my last shot at creating music, what would this project be about? What would it sound like? Would I just bare it all?”
Interviewers also questioned her about the collaboration with Caeser, to which she replied:
“It’s like the chemistry was just not forced, we just came together and his team, they just got me and we just were able to put together a great song and I absolutely loved what he wrote.”
The new album is set to release on July 31, 2020.
