Bezos Vs. Branson in The Billionaire Space Race

British Billionaire Richard Branson (who owns Virgin Group, a company that owns several others such as Virgin mobile) started to test his brand new rocket over New Mexico. His company, Virgin Galactic, funded this rocket and Branson became the first person to ride into space. His aim is to eventually have ‘space tourism.’ However, prior to yesterday, CEO Jeff Bezos made his announcement that he was headed to space on July 20th, making it Branson’s goal to beat Bezos to space.

Bezos is still planning to launch later this month. He will be accompanied by his brother and two other passengers. One of those passengers is Wally Funk. Funk is the last surviving member of a group of female pilots who, in 1961, were part of a test to see whether women were fit for space travel. She has waited over 60 years to have this chance again.
