Because Of The Pandemic, Fewer Kids Want To Grow Up To Be Teachers

Written by on March 27, 2021

Sources say that the new teaching style that the pandemic has forced upon the education system is turning students away from wanting to be come teachers.

Teachers are already in short supply in the US and the numbers show that they will continue to be so.

What was once a cut and dry profession now bounces between in-person, remote and hybrid models of learning.

David J. Chard, dean of the Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University commented on the situation, saying:

“People are weighing whether or not it makes sense to go to a classroom when there are alternatives that may seem safer.”
