Assemblyman David Gant Will Not Run For Reelection

New York State Assemblyman David Gant just announced he is not running for re election. He made the announcement Friday morning at a news conference for RCSD state aid funding.

Gant began his term in the 137th assembly seat 37 years ago and represents the northeast and southwest section of the city of Rochester along with some of the town of Gates.
Gant has built a house hold in down in Albany bring tons of resources back to Rochester.
David Gant recently announced he’ll support Monroe county legislator Earnest Flagger who running for the 137th New York State assembly seat on the upcoming local election. Gant also said he’s in support of the Rochester City School District receiving state aid to help bail them out of a $65 million dollar debt.
Whoever’s stepping in David Gants seat have some really big shoes to fill.
