American Cancer Society Says Black Women Death Rate Was 40% Higher

According to a study published in the CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, the overall breast cancer death rate decreased by 43% over three decades. The numbers show that is 460,000 fewer breast cancer deaths from 1989 to 2020. The data from American Cancer Society also shows black women had lower incidences of breast cancer than white women, but their total death rate was 40% higher once the data was broken down by race.
