Actor Clarence Williams III, From The Mod Squad & Purple Rain Passed Away At 81

Clarence Williams III, who Prince’s father in 1984’s Purple Rain, died in Los Angeles on June 4th of colon cancer. Williams played cool detective “Linc Hayes” on television’s The Mod Squad. Williams began his career on the stage, earning a Tony nomination in 1965 for best featured actor in a play for his work in the three-person drama Slow Dance on the Killing Ground. Williams also appeared as Wesley Snipes in Sugar Hill (1993). Keenen Ivory Wayans’ in I’m Gonna Git You Sucka and worked with Dave Chappelle in Half-Baked. Williams passed at the age of  81. To Read More Click Here.
