Lee Zeldin Endorsed By Trump, Governor Hochul Responds

With the New York Governor Election just weeks away, the Republican candidate in the race for governor of New York Lee Zeldin received an interesting endorsement, Donald Trump. Trump took to his social platform to promote Zeldin.
Governor Kathy Hochul issued a response on Twitter following the endorsement, expressing her concerns about her opponent’s endorsement.
Donald Trump just officially endorsed my opponent.
Lee Zeldin has enabled and embraced the former president’s extremism since day one — but New Yorkers rejected Trump and they’ll do the same for Lee in November.

According to the latest Marist Poll, Hochul is 10 points ahead of Zeldin in the race for governor, Hochul with 51 percent of the vote among registered voters to Zeldin’s 41 percent, this includes voters who say they are undecided.
