Written by on March 10, 2022

Yesterday, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul welcomed new staff for the SNUG Outreach program to a new training facility. The SNUG Outreach program was created with the goal of making streets safer for communities with high levels of gun violence, and in their new facility, they will learn how to prevent gun violence through real-life scenarios.

According to Governor Hochul, the SNUG Outreach program has a proven track record of accomplishment, gives hope to the communities they serve, and offers young adults a new beginning. The new facility is open in Oneida County and has 138 employees to practice mediating conflict, and working with partners to de-escalate gun violence.
