After New York State revealed it would not be issuing any guidance for school reopening, the Rochester City School District has put out its own. Their guidance mirrors that already put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This guidance comes amid a local increase of COVID cases.
According to the guideline, all students and staff, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear face coverings indoors and on buses. The district stated that social distancing will be a priority indoors and that students are expected to be evaluated for COVID-19 symptoms at home before going to school, including daily temperature checks.
