Retired Police Captain & First Black Officer To Serve With RPD Has Passed

Retired police captain and the first African-American to serve on the Rochester Police Force Charles Price has passed away.

Charles Price join RPD back in 1947 and became the first black man to serve as a police officer in the city of Rochester.
Charles Price work as a detective and Captain for RPD and retired from the Department back in 1985 he served the Rochester community for 28 years.
