COVID-19 Cases Across The Nation Are Still On The Rise

The number of COIVD-19 cases across the nation has passed 200,000 per day and Health and Human Services secretary, Alex Azar, says it is mostly because of:
“Behavior and cold weather. People are going indoors, they’re not minding the three W’s. Our advice is always the same. Wash your hands, watch your distance, wear face coverings.”
Experts expected the holiday season to spark the second wave of coronavirus cases due to people seeing their relatives and staying indoors because of the weather.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the US has seen over 14.7 million cases of COVID-19 and over 280,000 people have died from the virus.
Now that the second wave is here, there have been record numbers of hospitalizations, putting heavy stress on an already overworked and saturated healthcare system.
Aszar followed up, saying:
“We’re worried about people and the behaviors coming up with Christmas,” he said. “We want to make sure everyone’s loved ones are there next Christmas, especially when we have so much hope of vaccines.”
