GAS GAUGE ARROW

I just discovered there’s an arrow next to the gas gauge on my dashboard. Did you ever notice this?

I thought this arrow just happened to point in the same direction as the side of the vehicle where the gas cap is. I decided to use it as a reminder for when I pull up to the pump. It turns out, the arrow is placed there for that actual purpose in a majority of vehicles made since 2010. This is my craziest discovery of the week. Most people probably have never noticed the arrow or just thought nothing of it, like I did. Most times, we generally know what side our gas cap is on but, to avoid a situation like this one below just check the image in your dashboard.
