Last Saturday, Bronx rapper and hip hop artist Fat Joe brought a taste of New York hip hop down to Miami in a pre-Super Bowl concert. The concert, the Pepsi Super Splash Pool Party, was held at Clevelander South Beach. 50 Cent, Remy Ma, Flo Rida, and DJ Khaled also performed alongside Joe.
Fat Joe performed several of his hits, including the famous “What’s Luv?” “All the Way Up” and “Lean Back.” Fellow New Yorker Remy Ma joined Joe onstage and lent her rapping talents for “All the Way Up” and “Lean Back,” Ma’s husband, rapper Papoose also freestyled. The crowd went wild.
50 Cent, also a New York native, really got the crowd hyped up while he performed some of his famous hits, including “What Up Gangsta” and “In Da Club.”
DJ Khaled has already headlined several pre-Super Bowl concerts this weekend. At this one, he and Fat Joe performed the signature “Wild Thoughts” dance from DJ Khaled’s hit song for the crowd, much to their delight.
All of this week’s concert events are getting crowds ready for the big concert, the halftime show at the Hard Rock Stadium during the Super Bowl. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez will be headlining this year’s show.
