Hip-hop recording artist Shaun Boothe is currently touring a chapter of his Unauthorized Biography Series entitled “Repackaging History through hip Hop.” Boothe is co-creator of the Unauthorized Biography Series and founder of the Live Your Legacy Academy as well as a TEDx speaker.
Boothe’s presentations are usually made up of part music, part TedTalk and part multimedia display. In this chapter, he brings to life the history and biography of some of the world’s most iconic black people through the use of hip hop music. Individuals he will spotlight include: Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Bob Marley, Malala Yousafzai, and Muhammad Ali. He uses documentary-style music videos to highlight the lives of each of these figures, and more.
Each chapter of the series focuses on an influential figure by using documentary-style music videos. For more than a decade, Boothe was a hip-hip performer, performing with artists such as Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Talib Kweli.
He felt compelled to educate as well as entertain so he created the Unauthorized Biography Series. The series deals with overcoming challenges, diversity, leadership, and more.
The tour began in mid-January and is currently set to run through the end of March.
