Written by on October 24, 2024

The ROC Your Job initiative has expanded into a year-long after-school employment program, announced Monday. Supported by $3.9 million from New York State’s youth employment program, the initiative aims to connect teens in underserved neighborhoods with job opportunities. Last year, over 300 students participated, and with the expansion, nearly 350 teens are expected to benefit. The program will involve 40 employers, and is open to students aged 14 to 20 who live at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. More info is available at the ROC Your Job website.
