News 8 & Red Cross will host telethon to support Helene and Milton recovery effort

News 8 WROC is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a telethon aimed at supporting those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The hurricanes caused significant damage in Florida, leaving many residents without power and forcing others to find new living arrangements due to destroyed homes. The telethon will take place on Wednesday, October 16, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., during which viewers can call in to donate and contribute to the Red Cross’s relief efforts. For those unable to participate during the telethon, donations can still be made here. The event is part of ongoing efforts to aid hurricane victims and support recovery initiatives.
