Jonathan Majors’ film ‘Magazine Dreams’ gets a premiere date after Disney previously pulled film

Jonathan Majors’ film Magazine Dreams is set for release in early 2025 after being pulled from Disney’s film slate due to Majors’ legal issues. The bodybuilding drama, in which Majors plays the lead role of Killian Maddox, was acquired by Briarcliff Entertainment for domestic distribution. The film, originally praised at the Sundance Film Festival, had been scheduled for a December release before Disney withdrew it ahead of Majors’ trial. The actor was found guilty of reckless assault and harassment following a domestic dispute but avoided jail time by completing a domestic violence prevention program. Majors’ performance in Magazine Dreams is being hailed as a transformative role. The actor had previously starred in Creed III and Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
