Tom Golisano donating $360M across Upstate NY nonprofits

Entrepreneur and philanthropist Tom Golisano announced a $360 million donation to 82 nonprofits across Upstate New York. Golisano, founder of Paychex and chairman of the Golisano Foundation, made the emotional announcement, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community. The funds will support organizations focused on health, education, intellectual and developmental disabilities, community services, and animal welfare.

Notable recipients include Rochester Regional Health ($20 million), Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center ($10 million), and Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital ($10 million). Educational institutions such as RIT and Niagara University will also receive $10 million each.
