A Illinois school food director was sentenced to 9 years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing 11,000 cases of chicken wings valued at $1.5 million dollars.

Reports say the stealing happened during the COVID-19 pandemic from July 2020 through February of 2022.

The director used her position to get access to the cases of wings and was caught after an audit showed that the food budget was over spent by $300,000.
