Cecilia’s Place opens in Rochester to provide homes to people experiencing homelessness

Cecilia’s Place officially opened in Rochester on May 10th, 2024, marking a significant step forward in addressing homelessness in the area. Located in the historic Polvino building in Central Park, this new facility is part of the mission-driven efforts of person-centered housing options, which aim to reduce homelessness and rebuild lives. Charlie Albanese, CEO and co-founder, noted the rising homelessness in the community and emphasized that although Cecilia’s Place only contains 15 units, it represents an essential contribution to housing solutions for those in need. This initiative offers a safe and stable living environment for individuals experiencing homelessness, helping to alleviate some of the housing challenges faced by the community.
