The Greater Rochester Martin Luther King Jr. Commission announces they are celebrating Juneteenth with the annual Juneteenth Festival. The festival will take place on June 15, 2024, at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, 353 Court Street Rochester, NY. The parade will start at 10:00 a.m. and the festival will begin immediately after the parade from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. All activities and events for the day are free to the public.

Juneteenth Rally
Prior to the festival, the MLK Commission is organizing a rally that will highlight the July 1964 Rochester Uprising to provide historical education about the three days of unrest and the opportunity to contribute to the future state of what justice looks like in our community.
The rally is on June 8, 2024, at the Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 351 Joseph Avenue from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
