During the 25th annual Rochester Careers in Construction Day, more than 1,000 high school students actively participated. This event opens up a diverse array of opportunities, empowering students to build self-esteem and secure futures without the necessity of a college education.
Grant Malone, the president of the Rochester Building & Constructions Trades Council, stated: “They’re going to be seeing people from electrician work, heavy equipment operation — which is being done outside. Plumbers and pipefitters, masonry, insulator, ironworker. There’s a welding simulator over there they can try — there’s a multitude of things.”
