Made in America Cancels 2023 Festival With Headliners Lizzo and SZA

Written by on August 9, 2023

The Philadelphia festival, Made in America, has been called off for 2023. The cancellation was announced yesterday, attributing the decision to “extreme circumstances beyond the control of production.” The statement went on to say, “This choice was challenging to make and was reached only after deep consideration and extensive deliberation.” All ticket purchases will be refunded.

SZA and Lizzo were prepared to be the headlining acts for the festival, scheduled for September 2-3. Mase and Cam’ron were also planned to perform together, along with appearances from Ice Spice, Miguel, Metro Boomin, and others. In related news, Lizzo has recently been involved in a legal dispute with former dancers over allegations of sexual harassment and an unprofessional work environment, though she has refuted all claims of misconduct.
