8 Confirmed Dead and 13 Hospitalized After Astroworld Festival Tragedy

Clearer pictures of the victims from Friday nights ‘Astroworld Festival tragedy surface after the sudden surge toward the stage in Houston. As of Sunday, authorities refuse to release the names of the victims, however, family members and friends shared accounts of their loved ones with journalists and through social media. Eight people have died, ranging from ages 14 to 27 years old. As of yesterday, city officials are still in the early stages of investigating what caused the crowd surge towards the stage, the venue was filled with 50,000 people. According to experts who have studied deaths caused by crowd surges, they are often a result of too many people packed into a small space.
