According to reports from the CDC, there are now over 900 new variants of the coronavirus that have the potential to spread more easily and bypass immunities.

Florida has become a breeding ground for these modified strains and recent statistics have shown there are 343 cases of a new, faster spreading variant.

It’s been named the B1.1.1.7 variant and its the same one that started in the U.K. Researchers say it’s easier to catch and it may be more deadly than the original strain of COVID-19.

In addition to this surge of the new strain, the reports mention 3 cases of another variant called P.1., which started in Brazil and seems to be able to bypass immunities all together, and 9 cases of B.1.351., which came from South Africa and is resistant to immunities and vaccines.
