2024 Rochester Lilac Festival Dates Announced

The dates are set for the Rochester Lilac Festival which will to take place on May 10th-19th and is expected to bring back over 500,000 visitors to see the lilacs and take part in the annual traditions of the festival. The festival organizers announced the following key dates and events for this year’s festival:

May 10, 2024:
- The opening ceremony kicks off this year’s festival at 10 a.m. The festival grounds then open for its operating hours: 1030 a.m. through 8:30 p.m.
May 11, 12, 18, 19:
- Art in the Park: The festival’s juried art show is back this year on Reservoir Avenue! Artists will be able to participate in this juried arts and crafts show held on Saturdays and Sundays. The show is open on Saturdays at 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. Applications are due March 15.
May 11:
- Lilac Parade: The signature parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. starting on Science Parkway.
- May 14:
  - Seniors Day.
- May 19:
  - Lilac Run: Registration is open for this year’s Lilac Run 5K and 10K. You can run one or both races or do a virtual run. Registration ends on May 19 and can be found on the festival’s website.
  - Donut Dash: Runners and walkers of all ages are able to take part in this 1-mile fun run. You run a half-mile, grab a donut, and run back. Participants even get a t-shirt out of it! Sign-ups end on May 19.
