There has been a national data breach that may impact every American’s:
Social Security Number,
Financial information including bank accounts, emails, other financial relationships-such as on-line payments, personal addresses and phone numbers.
Credit Reports
Your personal history dating back 30 years.
Here are 5 action steps to take to help protect you against this breach. But let me remind you, nothing helps you more than using common sense and caution.
Be sure that your anti-virus is up to date.
CHANGE your existing passwords on your bank accounts, APPs that you may have for creditors or other payments linked to your checking account. Additionally, your passwords should contain a combination of capital letters, small letters, numbers, punctuation marks and symbols. Be sure to WRITE THEM DOWN!!!! After you have changed them. Do not reuse any current passwords!
Be sure to allow: Multi-Factor Authentication. Which means that before a password can change, the institution will text you, verifying that you are authorizing the change.
Check all three of your Credit Reports and place a FREEZE on each of your reports. As a reminder the “FREEZE” is FREE!!!!!!!
