1500 or Nothin’ is the dopest and most talented American music and entertainment crew in the industry right now. The 1500s, which they are often times called, have worked with top talent throughout music in production, song writing, band accompaniment, live performances and much more!

The band was founded by musician, multi- platinum producer, and 2x Grammy award winner, CEO Larrance “Rance” Dopson in 2006 in Los Angeles, California. Skilled in drums, guitar, piano, and percussion instruments, these talents have led him to super producers like Just Blaze, Bryan-Michael Cox, Teddy Riley and Tim & Bob. This opened the door to work with artists Bobby Valentino, Tyrese, Marsha Ambrosius, and Lupe Fiasco early on in his career.

Comprised of three internal divisions,1500 Or Nothin’ Music, 1500 Or Nothin’ Video, and 1500 Or Nothin’ Ancillary, they have made themselves a one-stop-shop for all things music. Other members of the band include:

James Edward Fauntleroy II, singer/songwriter and President of 1500 or Nothin’ who won three Grammys in 2018 for his work on the Bruno Mars album 24K Magic. Fauntleroy contributed writing and vocals for works like Rihanna’s Anti, Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly, Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience and Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Lamar Edwards (AKA Mars or Marz) is one of the multi-talented producers for the band. Also skilled in piano, guitar, drums, and percussion, Edwards joined the band when he was only in high school! So far he has also released three solo projects, Life on Mars, My Guy Mars, and, No Days Off.

Another multi-instrumentalist, Brody Brown, joined the band as a producer and songwriter. Brown also works with his own band called Groovy Maniacs and was a former member of the Crips. Throughout his career he’s worked with Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Adele, Alicia Keys, and Ceelo Green, and that’s not even the full list!

Other 1500 or Nothin’ ventures include, 1500 Or Nothin’ Publishing and The 1500 Sound Academy, which introduces member James Edward Fauntleroy II as one of the instructors. The academy offers courses in production, mixing, writing, and management to aspiring musicians and music professionals.

Talent, poise, determination, and aspiration. You can bet wherever these 1500s go, good music will follow.
