RCSD will hold public hearings to improve Receivership schools

Written by on September 11, 2024

The Rochester City School District (RCSD) announced public hearings to address six schools identified as “Receivership schools” under the New York State Department of Education’s Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) model. Receivership schools must show significant improvements in student achievement, and superintendents are granted increased authority to manage these schools. The six schools include School No. 16, Monroe Upper School, Edison Career & Tech, Henry Hudson School No. 28, and John James Audubon School No. 33.

Public feedback will be accepted at these meetings, with the goal of improving school outcomes. • Edison Caree & Technology High School — Thursday, September 12 at 6:45 p.m. Parent Retreat
  • East Lower School — Thursday, September 19 at 6:30 p.m. Open house
