Former Hollywood film mogul Harvey Weinstein’s 2020 sex crime conviction was overturned by the New York State Court of Appeals after finding that the judge over Weinstein’s trial allowed Prosecutors to use witnesses That were not a part of the charges against him.
Weinstein was serving a 23-year sentence in New York for his conviction; he still has to serve 16 years in California for his sex crime conviction.
