Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon praised Reese, stating, “She’s gonna continue to do what she does, that’s who she is, she’s always gonna come out and play hard and confident and give you everything that she has.” Weatherspoon also expressed pride in Reese’s performance and potential.

On the same night, Reese was honored with the Sportswoman of the Year Award at the 2024 BET Awards. She expressed her gratitude on Twitter, thanking BET for the recognition.

Reese was selected seventh overall by the Sky in the draft, a pick obtained from the Lynx after they traded down.
