Sister Inah Canabarro Lucas, a Brazilian nun and the world’s oldest living person, has passed away at the age of 116. Born in 1908, Lucas overcame early childhood frailty and went on to live a life of spiritual dedication and love. She spent her final years at Colégio Santa Teresa, where she was remembered for her warmth, educational impact, and deep compassion. A devoted soccer fan, Lucas was also honored by Sport Club Internacional. Her death passes the title of the world’s oldest person to 115-year-old Ethel Caterham of the U.K., noted for her adventurous spirit and peaceful philosophy.
