Sandra Douglass Morgan became the first Black woman to serve as president of a National Football League franchise when she was appointed by Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis in July 2022. A native of Las Vegas, Morgan brought more than two decades of leadership experience across the sports, gaming, legal, and corporate sectors. Before joining the Raiders, she served as chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, where she oversaw a workforce of 400 and led the integration of cashless wagering technologies. She previously served as the city attorney for North Las Vegas, making her the first Black person to serve as a chief legal officer for a city in Nevada. Morgan also served as vice chair of the Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee, helping coordinate the first Super Bowl held in Las Vegas. She sits on the boards of Fidelity National Financial and Allegiant Travel Company. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and UNLV’s Boyd School of Law, Morgan has received multiple industry honors including the 2012 Attorney of the Year award from the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association.
