Woman Charged in Alleged Abuse of Two Young Children

A woman is facing charges for allegedly abusing her 1- and 2-year-old children, leaving one of them with serious injuries and in critical condition at Strong Memorial Hospital, according to the Rochester Police Department.
Police said the woman called 911 at 1:27 a.m. Wednesday to report that her 2-year-old son was unconscious and experiencing abnormal breathing after reportedly hitting his head about 20 minutes earlier.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the boy unconscious. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where police said he was found to have multiple injuries consistent with physical abuse. He remains in critical condition.
