Cherophobia is the fear of happiness or showing joy, often driven by anxiety, guilt, or superstition about attracting bad luck. 

Though not an official diagnosis in the DSM-5, it can significantly affect quality of life and may overlap with anxiety or depressive disorders. 

Common signs include avoiding joyful activities and feeling anxious about positive experiences.
