Two Fires Hit Same Sodus Home in 24 Hours

Firefighters responded to a Maple Avenue home in Sodus twice in less than 24 hours after separate fires broke out.

The Sodus Fire Department responded Saturday, with several area departments assisting. Everyone inside the home escaped safely.

Crews returned around 4:30 a.m. Sunday for a second fire and quickly brought it under control.

The causes of the fires were not immediately known, and it was unclear whether they were connected.
