An 18-year-old Virginia teen, Michael Bosworth Jr., was fatally shot during a late-night ding-dong ditch prank that was reportedly being filmed for TikTok.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. in Spotsylvania County, when homeowner Tyler Chase Butler, 27, allegedly opened fire, believing a break-in was underway.
Bosworth and another teen were shot; Bosworth died at the hospital, while the other teen was treated and released. A third juvenile was unharmed.
Butler has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding, and firearm-related offenses. Authorities continue to investigate.
