The MAG hosts 24th annual BHM celebration

The Memorial Art Gallery (MAG) in Rochester hosted its 24th annual Black History Month celebration on Sunday, bringing the community together for an afternoon filled with music, dance, art, and cultural appreciation. The event featured a diverse lineup of live performances, including African dance and drumming, step teams, spoken word, contemporary dance, poetry, and a live DJ set by DJ Iron Will.
Attendees also participated in arts and crafts, face painting, and a special Art Grows Here garden planting activity. A fashion show showcased Black designers and stylists, while a variety of Black-owned businesses and vendors provided a unique shopping experience.
This annual event continues to serve as a vibrant celebration of Black culture and heritage, creating an inclusive space for artistic expression and community engagement.
