SZA to Drop New ‘Lana’ Songs During Super Bowl Halftime Show

SZA is set to release new songs for “Lana”, the deluxe edition of her album “SOS”, on February 9 at 7 p.m. ET—just 30 minutes after Super Bowl kickoff. The announcement, made on her official website, aligns with her upcoming performance alongside Kendrick Lamar during the Halftime Show.
This update follows a delayed Lana release initially planned for January 6, which led to fan criticism. SZA responded on social media, citing sample clearance delays and expressing frustration over the backlash.
The deluxe album has had a turbulent journey, with SZA first teasing it in late 2022. She scrapped an earlier version after some songs leaked online, later rebuilding it into a 15-track project that debuted in December. The release propelled SOS back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, racking up 200 million streams.
With fresh songs on the way and a high-profile Super Bowl appearance, SZA continues to solidify her dominance in the music industry.
